Meet the Teacher:

Fabi Souza

Fabi Souza is a student, practitioner and teacher of general movement, including strength and conditioning, mobility, boxing, and psychomotor education. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Fabi's passion for education and body-mind consciousness started in 2009 when she earned a bachelor's degree in Physical Education and a master's degree in Psychomotricity.

She has a background in a variety of sports, with many years dedicated to boxing, and her latest studies are focused on Tai Chi Yang style. Fabi has taught worldwide, including at a renowned boxing gym in Rio and MMA fighters in Vancouver. She also worked for many years teaching Physical Literacy- FUNdamentals with children from all ages.

In 2018, Fabi attended a workshop in Brazil with Ido Portal and soon after moved to San Francisco to study the Ido Portal movement method with one of Ido's original students, Johnny Sapinoso. After four years of dedicated study under Johnny, Fabi now leads the Bay Area Movement Practice group and also teaches private training sessions.

Fabi offers education for those who are interested in learning more about their bodies and what they are capable of doing to improve their quality of life. Science and philosophy of human movement are reflected in the progressive nature of her training method as she studies the body and its expressivity.

Her goal is to educate individuals and communities on how to create a better lifestyle. Fabi provides group and individualized classes in person and online.
